Almost half a year, AMD released their 3rd gen Zen 2 based desktop chips, and they took the market by storm, there simply thrashed their 9th gen Intel counterparts, and it was sure if you do anything besides gaming then should go for the AMD Ryzen 3000 series chips. And now we have the 10th gen Intel Desktop chips, so let’s see whether it is better or the 3rd gen is still the one to go for.
As there are so many chips, we will use the best one in every series for comparison.

So the Specs of the Ryzen 3 3300X and Core i3-10300 are very similar, and if we ignore the Cache then it is almost the same, while there is a price difference of $23; also we are getting a wraith air cooler included in the box with Ryzen processor but no such option with the Core i3-10300.

The Ryzen 5 3600X and the Core i5-10600K has the same number of cores and threads, but there is a difference of 300MHz and 400MHz in base and boost clock respectively, also Ryzen 5 3600X has much larger cache as compared to the Core i5-10600K.
Also, there is a difference of 30W in their TDP’s with the Ryzen 5 3600X being lower, and there is a difference of $40 in pricing; also we are getting a Wraith Spire air cooler with the Ryzen 5, but no such option with the Core i5.

So with a score of 18344 for Ryzen 5 3600X and 15250 for Core i5-10600K,
Ryzen 5 is 20% better in multi-core workload and around 13% slower in single-threaded workload.

So Overall Corei5-10600K is better in Single-Core, and the Ryzen 5 3600X is better in Multi-Core workload, also given the price difference of $40 and an included air cooler with the Ryzen 5 3600X, it is a better option, unless and until you want some extra 5-10FPS in your games.

So here will be using the Ryzen 7 3700X, not the 3800X as the 3700X is a much more popular option, and from Intel, we have the Core i7-10700K.
Both the processors have the same number of cores and threads, but other than that, they are very different; also, the price difference is around $135 enough to give an upgrade to the GPU, so keep that in mind.
