MediaTek Pulled off a Qualcomm, By releasing a Plus(+) Version of there Flagship SoC, The Dimensity 1000+, an upgraded version of the Dimensity 1000, But for those who are looking for a significant CPU/GPU Increase, it is bad news, it has some minor upgrades, but they are important.
MediaTek Dimensity 1000+(Plus)
The MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ has the same 4X Cortex A-77, 4X Cortex A-55 + Mali G77 MP9 GPU, like the Standard Dimensity 1000, and it still supports the same quad-channel LPDDR4X memory.
But Then what’s new, Well here are the new things.
It has a new version of the OEM’s HyperEngine Technology, This one (v2.0) optimizes every determinant of speed for the 1000+ – its CPU, GPU, RAM, Bluetooth and mobile data included, Also the 1000+ offers MediaTek 5G UltraSave, this feature is said to conserve battery by up to 32% while using the SoC’s in-built New-Radio(5G).
Also, the 5G UltraSave tech allows the modem to aggregate 2 incoming sub-6GHz Radio Links for up to 4.7Gbps downlink and 2.5Gbps uplink speeds.
Also, the 1000+ now has support for Voice Over NR or Vo5G.
And the new SoC also increase the supported refresh rate up to 144Hz, as compared to the 120Hz supported on the Dimensity 1000. There is also an upgrade for the ISP/Camera/Optics, it will feature the new MiraVision picture quality engine which apparently upscales SDR video data to HDR.
