So Folks, am back again with a review on, possibly one of the best flagship smartphone currently on the market, The OnePlus 9 Pro, its the flagship device of the OnePlus 9 series, there are also two other smartphones in this series, the vanilla OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9R, But those are for a different post.
This post is all about the Review of the OnePlus 9 Pro, and if the review is to be summarised in one word then:
“Just like the previous OnePlus Flagships, the OnePlus 9 Pro is again an improvement over the last-gen, also don’t go for the Hasselblad branding, it just at the starting stage, and will disappoint you if you expect some dramatic change from it”.

Design and Build Quality

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

One the OnePlus 9 Pro we have a refreshed design, instead of the matte finish on the older generations, now we have glossy gradient finish on the back, also the OnePlus logo is now situated at the middle, one the top left corner we the vertical rectangular camera array housing a quad-camera setup, on the front we have a punch-hole display with punch-hole at the top left corner, and the display is also slightly curved at the edges, its good to hold in hand, and feels comfortable while using.

The Build quality is top-notch we have metal frame, the front and the back are protected by corning gorilla glass 5, the only issue is due the glossy finish, the back is a finger print magnet.

Display

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Arguably one of the best display out there on a smartphone.
OnePlus 9 Pro has a 6.7” LTPO Fluid AMOLED Display, with a native resolution of QHD+(1440 x 3216 pixels), an aspect ratio of 20:9 with 525 PPI pixel density, is HDR10+ certified, with a variable refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz, with 360Hz Touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 1300nits, all this being protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The Display is nothing short of amazing, it has amazing color accuracy, with deep blacks and excellent brightness.

Performance

Rating: 5 out of 5.

The OnePlus 9 Pro is powered by the most powerful Android SoC out there, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888.
Its an Octa-core SoC with 1×2.84 GHz Kryo 680 & 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 680 & 4×1.80 GHz Kryo 680 cores, and is coupled with Adreno 660 GPU.
As we have already seen its performance in smartphones like S21 ultra and Mi 11, there is nothing much to say, other than that, that its the best android SoC out there.

Memory and Storage

Rating: 5 out of 5.

OnePlus 9 Pro has 2 memory options, 8/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and two storage options 128/256GB of UFS3.1 Storage.

Camera/Optics

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

This time OnePlus has collaborated with Hasselblad to tone their camera software, and that be easily seen in its color reproduction, but other than that their not much to say about the Hasselblad toning in the camera setup.

The Shots from the Primary lens are good, the images are sharp, has lots to details, with amazing natural blur.
The Shots form ultrawide lens are amazing, and can probably be terms as the best ultrawide shots from a smartphone, and in some cases it gives even better shots than the primary lens.
There is a bit of issue with the Camera shutter speed, its a bit slow, but can be fixed with software updates.

Battery

Rating: 4 out of 5.

It has 4500mAh battery with 65-W wired charging and 50-W wireless charging support.
It can last you for day.

Audio

Rating: 4 out of 5.

It has a Great Audio Setup, the volumes are loud, with good vocal details.

Security

Rating: 5 out of 5.

It has an Under-Display fingerprint sensor. it’s pretty good.

Connectivity

Rating: 5 out of 5.

There is WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and Dual 5G(Both NSA and Sub-6GHz bands) options

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Amazing in All aspects, but need a little bit improvement in camera system, hopefully they do it with OTA updates.
