Xiaomi is a name that everyone is familiar with, they give some crazy good value for money stuff in the low-mid budget segment.
The MI series is known for performing well in the mid-budget segment.
This time they came up with Xiaomi MI Note 10, which has a crazy spec sheet and some crazy stuff in the camera department.
The first phone in the world with 108MP camera.
This review is about The Xiaomi MI Note 10.
Let’s start with the looks and design, body is an aluminum frame and has back and front glass with gorilla glass 5 protection on both the sides and overall the phones feels good in the hand and is comfortable to hold, but the camera bump is surely one will notice when the phone is laid on a table or a flat surface.
Now coming to the display it has 6.47 inches AMOLED display with 1080X2340 Pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio, the screen is protected by the corning gorilla glass 5, the screen as is an AMOLED produces very good color and deep blacks, the saturation is good in normal mode and if you don’t like it, it can be changed in the setting, overall the screen is very good, but not the best in this price segment.
So.. next will be the Performance, it has snapdragon 730G SOC which has 2X2.2 GHz kyro 470 Gold and 6X1.8 GHz Kyro 470 silver chips, coupled with Adreno 618 GPU and has 6GB of RAM with 128 Storage, the performance is good, able to handle everything thrown at it, lag-free experience in normal to medium tasks, and being able to run heavy games at low to medium setting, the performance is very good but the price range it is coming in there is much better performer out there will talk about that later in the post.
Now The main event of the show the Optics, the Xiaomi MI Note 10 has a Penta camera setup! yes a total of 5 camera’s are there, the primary one is a whopping 108 MP wide lens with f/1.7 aperture, the second one is a 12 MP telephoto lens with f/2.0 aperture capable of 2X optical zoom, the third one is again a telephoto lens but has lower resolution of 5MP but offers 5X optical zoom, the fourth camera is 20 MP ultrawide lens with f/2.2 aperture, and finally the fifth and the last one being a 2 MP macro camera. The camera performance is outstanding phenomenal amazing or something like that I mean just one of these words won’t be able to describe the 108 MP camera performance, the 108 MP lens produces amazing shots, the details can easily be seen even when zoomed up to 10-15 X, other lenses also doesn’t disappoint and gives out great performance the telephoto lens produces some excellent shot, portrait mode is also very good, edge is mostly to the point and very less chance of error, the macro camera is also very good and gives out great shots, in night light also all the camera perform great, for video recording, it supports up to 2160p @ 30 FPS and the video quality is great, no issues there, one thing to note is that in normal node the primary camera shoots at 27 MP the 108 MP mode has to tunned in by the camera options, for selfies it has 32 MP lens with f/2.0 aperture and again the performance is great.
Overall this phone has one of the best Camera setups out there and easily the best camera in its price range.
So now the Extras.
First will be the battery life it has 5260 mAh battery, and will easily last for 2 days with moderate usage and will even stretch to 3 days with low usage, the 30-watt charger that comes in the box can charge the phone from 0to 50 in 30 mins.
The audio quality on this phone good the vocals has good clarity but in high volume can easily be graded as an average one.
For security it has a fingerprint sensor that is pretty great and responsive, the face-unlock also works very well.
Overall the phone is very good, but there is always a but in the Xiaomi phones isn’t it
the price of this phone is around 550$ which is approximately 40000 INR,
for 40000 INR the only thing you are getting is one of the best camera phones, and a great battery life usually, those who want to spend around 40000 INR wants an all-rounder phone, which at least has a flagship processor and good/great camera.
But in this phone what you are getting is one of the best camera setup, an upper mid-range processor, above average build, and almost all other things are around average to above-average with the battery being a great one.
so if you are someone whose first priority is the camera with a decent battery life and don’t want to do any heavy tasks on the phone then surely go for this phone.
- Good processor
- One of the Best camera setup
- good Build quality
- Great display
- Great battery life
- Curved Display
- Price is very high if the camera is not your priority
- No IP-Rating
